 After the spectacular success of the first Red Bull Illume Image Quest, the worlds biggest photography contest for action and adventure sports now returns for a new edition and you can be part of it!
With the first contest already resulting in a staggering 2000 international photographers submitting their pictures and the 50 finalist works being exhibited in breathtaking outdoor venues across North America, Red Bull Illume 2010 is set to get even bigger and better.

 “Why even bother to attend any competitions at all? I happen to love a few jumps with friends at my local dropzone, why spoil it all by getting serious? I’m not competitive, so I’m worried it will ruin some of my friendships.”
These are all a few questions and statements I have encountered during my years of skydiving and competing. Just to give you a brief lowdown. I’m a 4-way skydiver and wingsuit flyer who jumps at Skydive Hibaldstow, so it goes without saying that I have seen a few competitions.
However, I also have plenty of friends who simply don’t have that competitive spirit or the resources to compete in the National Championships. Well this short article hopes to encourage you to think differently about competing in whichever discipline you happen to love. |
