BCPA Nationals 2008 - “Attempt the unpossible!”

Please keep your hands and feet inside the fast moving ride at all times. Sick bags are provided in the seat pockets in front, behind, below, above and to both sides for those of more gentle tendencies. Flash photography is prohibited and remember, if it happens at the nationals it stays at the nationals!

For those of you, myself included, who have been waiting all year for the single most absurd, off-the shelf, unreal, monumental, tremendous, overwhelming, extreme, extraordinary, and most probably singularly fantastic party, not to mention better than 2007, of your lives the time has arrived. Now I ask, will you let the BCPA down???

For those of limited patience the most important facts are as follows:

The When: 9th Wednesday – 13th Sunday July 2007
The Where: Northwest Parachute Center, Flookburgh, Cumbria, LA11 7LS
The Why: Every possible reason you can possibly imagine!

Fancy Dress: Gods and Goddesses (Complete with loincloth)!

Free Coaching: FF coaching and FS coaching will be provided for slots only from the Friday onwards. Dan Parker, Frenzy + others

BYOB: You heard correctly, unfortunately the dropzone does not have their own bar, but that means you can buy shed loads of alcohol from the supermarket for half the price. The BCPA will obviously be doing its best to supply all the alcohol you can possibly drink ALL WEEK but variety will be limited to large, cider, two spirits and mixers. If you like something more specific please feel free contribute based on your own tastes.

Registration (cash preferably, see Pre-Pay Information Below): Registration will cost you £40 (Only £5 more than last year for almost double the fun!). There is no discount for coming for a shorter period of time as this makes budgeting for the event too complicated.

Pre-Paying (Please, please, please!):

The costs of organising the Nationals are somewhat astronomical and still being somewhat of a student my credit card limits don’t quite reach. I would kindly ask, and this applies to clubs that love to pay with cheques, to pre-pay their estimated attendance ASAP. If you end up bringing less than you have paid for then you will get a full refund. Also if you find you have some money now and want to pay in advance please do. Payment methods are as follows:

My university club is not a member of the BCPA, can I still attend?

I could not encourage you enough! Why not give it a go? I will be wavering the normal BCPA membership fee for the nationals but you will obviously not be able to submit any points for this years league.

What we still need:

-We are always a little short of pool camera men, so if you’ve not been to a BCPA event in some time (would be nice to hear from some old boys/girls) or you just fancy some free jumps then get in touch ASAP.

-A single Nintendo Wii with atleast Wii Sports a controller for the duration of the week.

Competitions: 3-Way FS, Pre-FF1, FF1, FF2, Accuracy, perhaps even speed if we get time.
