Submitting Points:
  1. Check against the downloadable league (link) to see what points have already been submitted. If you are still using Office 2003 or earlier you will need this patch: link.
  2. Download the submission form (link) and follow the instructions inside. Points can be submitted for any valid achievement since 13th July 2008.
  3. Send the files to the BCPA email address in my forum signature (not my own one).

If you don't know how to resize the pictures, then:
  • Download this program from Microsoft and install it.
  • Read this guide and follow the instructions, making sure to chose the "Small" size option and also the "make smaller but not larger" option.

What type of photographic evidence do you require?

Presumably things like CH2, FS1 that type of thing, require a scan of the individuals stickers they get in their Parachute certificate?

What do you need for First Freefall, ground school and event attendance?

Also for event attendance, is 1 point per individual, or 1 point per university?

Sticker achievements like CH2/B/FS1 etc need a photo of FAI book with page turned so that you can see sticker + name (as best you can).
Having as two photos is not much use, as people could have just put one person's photo next to another's FS1 sticker etc.

First freefall, level 7 and so on, need a photo of the logbook - these tend to be unique enough that it would be hard to use one entry for several people, so don't worry about trying to get the name in too much - since with the design of most logbooks, getting both in shot is quite hard.

For groundschools, I need a signed list of names - signed by the CCI or else the CSI who taught the FJC.
The list of names must either be printed or else extremely legible block capitals.

For event attendance, we enter those off the event registration so don't worry too much about those (apart from ensuring your members have registered when at the event) - and it's one point per person.

Anything else, just ask :-)

Sorry Ed,

Is it a signature for each individual, then signed by the CCI? Or is a printed list of names signed by the CCI sufficient?

That's ok - it makes sense to be sure before you go and get it signed, only to find you have to do it again!

For groundschools, I need a scanned document containing:
1) The university name, the word groundschools and either RAPS or AFF (need to know which)
2) The date of the groundschool
3) A typed or block capitals list of first and last names of the people on the course
4) Signature (and name in block capitals) of the CCI - or else the CSI (RAPS instructor) who taught the FJC

I'll have a word with Stu as it seems like the mail forwarding is going funny at the UKS server end again for some reason...

League updated - Loughborough now in 2nd place.

Keep the submissions coming everyone - I know for a fact that many unis have way more than 0-30 points!

Penalties are not yet being applied, so if you have any old points to submit for things since 13th July 2008, then they are still valid.

Yeah unfortunately there's not a huge amount I can do to help, since without the requirement of evidence, people are just going to make stuff up!

Most clubs have been submitting points since October when submissions opened, for those that haven't been collecting evidence as they went along, they will have a bit of a mission on their hands.

You could always just get club members to take photos with their phones and email them to you surely?

I offered to bake my club members a cake in return for them sending me photos, I'm hoping by the time I see them again they will have forgotten about the cake... :smt077

seriously though it isn't that hard to take a photo/scan and email it, if you keep badgering people they will do it eventually. The moral of the story is to collect evidence as and when people achieve things!

Please could you let me know what Kingston's 8 points are for?

I've got a load of other points to submit, but obviously can't submit the same 8 again :(

Cheers! :D
