As it is I shall probably go for a safire 2....I put my German brain into gear last night and read up some German language posts on DZ.Com and a couple of threads on German forums........The weight is against rather than for Cayennes. Cost seems to be the main factor people choose to buy a new Cayenne........as there is only a few quid/euros/dollars in it I shall probably go with my initial choice of the Saf 2.

Yes, I did a looky, looky, when I was initially foraging around. I am big though and Pilots only go to 210 wheras the Safire 2 goes at 229 which is around where the rigger said I should be going for my first one.
Whilst I have no doubt the ride on a 210 would certainly be knicker gripping I think I would prefer something a tad more sedate - like a stairlift . My rigger has recomended a Saf 2 as an eminently flyable canopy so if its not I can always make him buy me coffee for ever and a day
If you think 229 is big, there is a guy on DZ.Com who jumps a tandem canopy cos he is nearly 300lbs - muscle mind you.

Can always sell the canopy to a dz as a student canopy
Oi!
229 is a standard Safire 2 size........for big Americans, and me.
Why sell on, I'd keep it as a back to back rig when I downsize in a couple of years.

Yes, they do, but they're currently quoting 16-16 weeks for delivery :evil:IIRC, Icarus will cut canopies to all sorts of weird sizes if you ask nicely

if you are only looking for something short term how about a fury 220(someone was selling one on here for £120 or so).
Its f111 but solid.
